Lucio Martins discusses standardization in large corporations at the 8th LEC International Compliance Congress

“The great challenge of our Compliance program is to achieve a balance between standardization and customization. There is also no standardization of Compliance without a consolidated corporate culture. And our group has a strong culture supported by common values and good practices,” said Lucio Martins, Global Compliance Director at J&F Investimentos, at the 8th LEC International Compliance Congress, which took place from November 30 to December 2.

The businessman participated in the panel “The standardization of compliance programs in large corporations”, with Raíssa Vernalha, global director of Ethics and Compliance at Anheuser-Busch InBev, to discuss the challenges of standardizing Compliance in the business environment of large business groups. Other topics were also addressed, such as the role of technology in Compliance in operations with different business units in different parts of the world and the prospects for the future of Compliance. “The responsibility of large companies is to seek an ethical standard and increasingly disseminate the culture of integrity beyond their borders and their value chain and, thus, impact the entire society,” Martins concluded.
