The J&F group joined the Red Light campaign to raise awareness and protect women from domestic violence. Conceived by the Association of Brazilian Magistrates (AMB) in partnership with the National Council of Justice (CNJ), the campaign has integrated the Powers and society in the fight to take the country out of the stigma of being one of the most dangerous in the world for women to live in, encouraging the denunciation of different types of harassment through a red sign in the shape of the letter “X” on the palm of the hands.
The agreement with the J&F group was signed on September 27 at the holding company’s headquarters in São Paulo. On the occasion, the secretary general of the AMB, the judge of Tocantins Julianne Freire Marques, and the president of J&F Investimentos, Aguinaldo Filho, were present. The companies controlled by the group: Âmbar Energia and Canal Rural also joined the campaign. The event was also attended by executives from the other companies of the holding such as JBS, PicPay, Eldorado Brasil, Liga Invest and Banco Original.
The largest private employer in the country, J&F controls more than 10 companies in different fields and that together have more than 270,000 employees, a structure that may now contribute to giving more capillarity to the AMB initiative.
