The company’s expansion will result in more than 150 new jobs in the region
Flora, the hygiene and cleaning industry that owns brands such as Minuano, BRISA, Francis and Neutrox, has just acquired a new distribution center with 6 thousand square meters in the Northeast region, in Maceió (AL), which will have 8 docks and capacity to gather more than 4,000 pallet positions. This investment complements a move by the company in the region which, at the beginning of the year, inaugurated a factory – also in Maceió – focused on the production of household cleaning items of the Minuano and BRISA brands.
With the new unit, the company now has spaces in key regions for the distribution of its portfolio throughout the country, since it maintains other DCs in Goiás, Santa Catarina, Minas Gerais and São Paulo. “These are strategic regions that give us a competitive advantage, with more balanced logistics costs and faster arrival at the points of sale in each region,” explains Samir Jarrouj, Business Director of Flora’s Home Care Unit.
In 2022, the company had a turnover of approximately 2.2 billion and its brands were delivered to more than 1.7 thousand points of sale in 1130 cities throughout Brazil. More than 28 million boxes were transported and taken to Brazilian consumers.
Flora has more than 2,400 employees and has a portfolio of more than 300 products and, with the new plant and the new Distribution Center in Alagoas, it will have five distribution centers, four factories, operational headquarters and innovation center in São Paulo. “With the strength of the home care market, we saw the opportunity to expand Flora’s presence in the homes of consumers in the Northeast where increased production, storage/logistics are fundamental to this business expansion plan. For 2023, we foresee an even greater and better spread distribution in the five regions of the country”, reiterates Samir Jarrouj.
