J&F Investimentos offers scholarships on compliance to professionals from all over the country

J&F Investimentos, in partnership with Legal, Ethics & Compliance (LEC), will offer 32 scholarships to professionals from various areas who are interested in delving into compliance-related topics.

Present in more than 190 countries and with more than 263,000 employees, the J&F group has, among its companies, JBS, Eldorado Brasil, Banco Original, PicPay, Âmbar Energia, Flora and Canal Rural.

The “Seeds of Compliance” program will take place between November and December 2021, totaling 49 hours. Registration opens this Thursday (15) and runs until August 20.

“This course is aimed at professionals who work or intend to work in this promising market. The objective is to develop strategic skills to implement or manage an effective program, in addition to preparing for the Professional Certification in Anti-Corruption Compliance (CPC-A) exam, designed in partnership with FGV Projetos,” says lawyer Márcio El Kalay, a partner at LEC.

Those interested in participating in the selection process must fill out a form and answer the question: “How can you contribute to the dissemination of the Compliance culture in Brazil?”.

The selection will be made by the LEC, according to the criteria set forth in the program’s regulations, with the objective of evaluating the ability to multiply the knowledge acquired by the candidates, in their relationship with companies, suppliers and other audiences. In other words, those who best demonstrate the ability to put compliance into practice in their day-to-day will stand out. The winners will be announced during the 8th International Compliance Congress, which takes place between October 26 and 28.

“We want to foster a culture of compliance more and more. We are very happy to promote the training of dozens of professionals who will take the best anti-corruption practices to other companies and regions in Brazil,” says Lucio Martins, J&F’s Chief Compliance Officer.

For Aguinaldo Filho, president of J&F, the announcement of the partnership with LEC could not come at a better time. “We celebrate our compliance program and couldn’t help but offer something relevant to the community. We want to multiply in society the culture of our companies of always doing the right thing,” he says. “We hope to expand our partnership with LEC every year,” adds the executive.
